Since 1998, First Fidelity has served as an investor and trusted strategic advisor to the mortgage banking industry. Its principals have served as CEOs and on Boards of Directors.

First Fidelity has been retained by the national bank to identify and qualify mortgage net branch production opportunities on their behalf, and is actively engaged in a variety of mandates for banking clients.

Richard Arbogast

Richard Arbogast is a Managing Director of First Fidelity. Previously, Richard served as the CEO of Chapel Mortgage Company and its predecessor affiliate for 23 years originating and servicing billions annually. Chapel Mortgage created several affiliates the largest of which was sold to Deutsche Bank. Mr. Arbogast has served on the Advisory Boards of Chase Bank, Countrywide Home Loans, Chemical Bank, Washington Mutual and New Century Mortgage.


Elliot Jacobs

Elliot Jacobs (1945–2016) was the founding Managing Director of First Fidelity, and was at the forefront of the mortgage banking industry. He served on the Board of Directors of MBA of America, the Fannie Mae Advisory Board, and as President of the MBA of NJ. He was the sole owner of a successful mortgage bank, and President of a bank owned mortgage subsidiary. He lived to love, protect and teach his children.
